Two Easy Last Minute Easter Recipes

It's Easter! This is the perfect time to gather with your loved ones and enjoy delicious food together. This year I decided to take it easy but wanted to have something for my family that was delicious and "no fuss". If you're looking for easy and tasty Easter "Make it or Fake it" recipes this year, I've got you covered! Here are three ideas to get you started:

MAKE IT: a classic Easter dish, ham is easy to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser. To make a simple honey glaze, mix together honey, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar, then brush it over the ham before baking. Garnish with fresh herbs for an extra touch of flavor.

FAKE IT: Honey-Glazed Ham Shortcut: Holiday Ham Company The Holiday Ham Company has been serving families all over the country for over 30 years.Perfect solution for any occasion!

Carrot Cake Cupcakes:

MAKE IT: Carrot cake is a classic Easter dessert, and these cupcakes are a fun twist on the traditional recipe. Mix together grated carrots, flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder, and cinnamon, then bake in muffin tins until golden brown. Top with cream cheese frosting and a sprinkle of chopped walnuts.

FAKE IT: Don't hate the player, hate the game. Yes, I have been known to purchase a slice if it is just me for the holidays, or when I am expecting no more than three or four guests. This carrot cake is a little slice of heaven! It's the perfect "nod" to a sweet tooth, while still allowing your guests to feel satisfied. Take it out of the box, and serve it on a beautiful dessert plate with a side of your choice of fresh fruit. Keep in mind, my opera singer friends always appreciate when I make just enough to give a "nod" to the sweet tooth while leaving them satisfied. Once it is gone, it's gone!

I hope these recipes inspire you to get creative in the kitchen this Easter! Enjoy the delicious food and the wonderful company of your loved ones.
